We are heading from PA to Williamsburg VA , through maryland on a saturday. We were wondering how the beltway is on a saturday or if an alternate route like 301 would be better? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

TAKE 301!!!!
Been doing the trip to Williamsburg and points south for 5 years, using RTE. 301.
Before that went crazy using Rte. 95, battling the traffic and stupid drivers.
  Rte. 301 is 55MPH and some traffic lights, but relaxing.
