Crossroads RV was purchased by Thor Industries, Inc. on Monday November 1, 2004. As with all Thor companies, Crossroads RV will operate as an independent division of Thor Industries.
This acquisition was negotiated in previous weeks as a transfer of ownership to bring CrossRoads more exposure and resources to expand in the future. Known as a high quality, high value RV manufacturer, CrossRoads is looking to expand their products to a wider geography of selected, service-oriented dealers nationwide. The CrossRoads dealer network is based on exclusive sales territories that assure first rate dealers of protected markets to sell CrossRoads products. CrossRoads believes this philosophy brings greater satisfaction to dealers and consumers, because the focus is on quality relationships rather than the confusion of double penetrated brands in markets. This acquisition will bring CrossRoads greater exposure to build strong national partnerships with dealerships.
CrossRoads product focus and management structure will remain the same. With the Thor acquisition there have been no changes in the Crossroad's management, production, sales, marketing, and service staff," states Cal Jones, National Sales Manager. CrossRoads RV is preparing for the introduction of the Silverado and CrossTerrain products in Louisville. For this event they are also preparing to reassure dealers that it is business as usual at CrossRoads. Their website Forum is providing the same assurance for already concerned consumers. CrossRoads will not compromise its image as a smaller independent manufacturer.
